The short version

The calculators run entirely in your browser. The trades and amounts you type are never sent to us or to anyone else, there are no accounts, and the site currently loads no analytics and no advertising. The site fetches no market data itself; the one exception is the optional live chart, described below.

Live chart (optional)

If you type a ticker and press "Show live chart", the page embeds a chart provided by TradingView. It loads from tradingview.com only at that moment, and TradingView then receives the ticker and standard request data such as your IP address, under its own privacy policy. Your trades, amounts and results are never sent to it. Until you press the button, nothing is requested.

What is stored on your device

Three preferences, in your browser's local storage: your theme choice (dark/light), your decimal precision, and your display currency. They never leave your device, and clearing your browser data removes them. The "Copy link" feature encodes the values you entered into a URL only when you press it, so you can share a calculation deliberately; nothing is encoded or sent otherwise. Legacy ?data= links from the previous version of this site are decoded locally in the same way.

What we receive

Standard web-server logs at our hosting provider (Cloudflare) — IP address, requested page, user agent — retained briefly for security and capacity purposes, as with essentially every website. We may in the future add privacy-respecting page-view analytics (Google Analytics 4) to understand which pages are useful; if we do, it will be noted here and in the changelog, it will run only on this domain, and it will never see the values you type.
